Because of My Realistic Expectations I am Rarely Disappointed

Expectations I have no need to worry about the unknown. I enjoy living in the moment – Unknown

I am realistic in my expectations, and that reduces the chance of disappointment in my life.

I am human and I make mistakes. Although I consciously make an effort every day to be my best self, I understand that growing and maturing is a process. I know that I can always improve my actions, my attitudes, and my performance in most areas of my life.

I am okay with that! As long as I am continually moving forward, I am satisfied and I am proud of myself.

I treat others with this same respect, because I want them to understand also, that I am human and I have weaknesses.

My wife, children, and friends all have their own unique personalities and sets of challenges. By acknowledging that they are capable of making mistakes too, I allow myself to form more genuine relationships that carries me through even difficult times.

And difficult times do come!

I keep in mind that real life is difficult, harsh, and challenging for the vast majority of the world. I remind myself that I should not be insulated from those troubles.

Because I value life with authentic and rewarding relationships, I do not need to be perfect. I live in the moment, finding happiness and opportunity in each new day.
